This eagle is one of the largest and most beautiful birds(babes are white and brow)   in Udawalawe National Park. They live in dry, deciduous and semi-evergreen forests and areas of bush. It spends a lot of time perching on exposed branches in the canopy of trees in clearings and at forest edges. What does this eagle feed on? Waterhens and mammals, including squirrels, rats, and hares. It will also feed on reptiles; both snakes and lizards.
