Cheeky Monkey!
On safari in Udawalawe National Park with Udawalawe Ethical Safari.
In Udawalawe you can find two species of monkey whilst on safari with us; the Gray Langur and the Macaques.
The Macaques are a very entertaining species with lots of personality, funny hair styles and they are really not shy! Recently we had an up close experience with a naughty Macaque who wanted to steal the mirror from the front of one of our jeeps.
If you come on safari with us you have a good chance of seeing Macaques in their family groups grooming each other and playing around. Their cheeky personalities make them real favourite with our clients and one of the many highlights of the safari.
