Respect for animals, clients and family!

On safari in Udawalawe National Park with Udawalawe Ethical Safari.

One big question that a lot of our clients ask is can safari be ethical and how do we achieve this? We are delighted to receive questions like this because it confirms that our that clients share our concern for animal welfare and responsible tourism.

Many tourists are put off by the idea of large numbers of jeeps crowding animals and driving quickly to catch a sighting, potentially causing stress to animals and disturbing their natural wild behaviours.

At Udawalawe Ethical Safari we are proud of our decision to focus on animal welfare whilst allowing our clients to view wildlife authentically and respectfully. As a small family business, it is never easy to try something different but we are so excited to report that our clients love how we operate and our values and the reviews speak for themselves!

This week we were especially emotional to receive a very special review and we would like to share some extracts with you as it really captures what we set out to achieve as a company.

Thank you dear clients for saying better than we could ourselves!
