Safety first!
On safari in Udawalawe National Park with Udawalawe Ethical Safari.
This week we have celebrated Childrens Day in Sri Lanka so we thought this is the perfect time to share with you how we are prioritising safety for all our clients and particularly child safety on safari.
For all our clients safety and comfort we use well maintained jeeps with lap seatbelts. Our drivers are careful and steady and know the National Park well. Our guides are experienced and understand the different animals behaviours and know what is a safe and appropriate distance to keep between jeep and animals. In our jeeps we carry first aid kits and fire extinguishers.
We are one of very few safari companies that supply on request child car safety seats for use within our jeep and we have a range to suit different age children. This can make safari much safer for families with younger children. Safari jeeps are open sided like this so car seats make the children safe and secure when the jeep is moving.
