These little birds our our friends on safari as the catch and feed on flying insects mid-air, helping keep mosquitos under control! They also feed on bees, wasps and dragonflies and are a favourite with our clients.

Next up is the Brown Headed Barbet, this little bird protects its territory, it makes its nest in holes in trees and eats fruits and insects. Our guides listen out for the Barbets distinctive call to point out this bird for you to see on safari.

This bird with a large bill and brilliant blue wings is the White Throated Kingfisher and is a lovely bird to see on safari. This bird eats some insects as well as fish and frogs. Did you know that these birds do not nest in trees, they make tunnels in mud banks!

Another favourite with clients is the Rose Ringed Parakeet. Bright green plumage makes it a beautiful bird to spot in the park. They have a loud call and feed on seeds, berries, nectars and fruits. Did you know that these birds can live as long as 30 years!

The male Asian Paradise Flycatcher is a spectacular bird with long flowing tail feathers. They are very agile birds catching insects mid-air such as beetles, moths and butterflies. They build cup shaped nests in forks in tree branches.
