Jungle cat sightings are very special. This video was taken by the Udawalawe Ethical Safari team within the national park during a safari.
The Sri Lankan Jungle cat has long legs, a fairly short tail and long pointed ears with black fluffy tips which gives this wild cat a Lynx like appearance.
Larger than a domestic cat, this solitary animal is right at home in the dense jungle of Udawalawe National Park hunting birds, reptiles and small mammals.
